Top International Showjumper Conor Swail Joins the TRM Team
TRM are delighted to welcome on board as part of their team, Irish international showjumper Conor Swail. Conor who is well known on the European and American circuit competed in his first nation's cup in 1998 in Linz, Austria. He has to date represented Ireland in more than 16 Nations' Cups. He is also a prominent rider in the Irish Grand Prix league, which he won in 2004, and this year to date has won three Grand Prixs.
Conor has been based in Malahide, Dublin for the past four years. It is in Malahide, that Conor with his business partner Barry O'Connor buy young horses and bring them on to the very highest level of showjumping. The yard consists of 23 stables that are always full. Conor and Barry have an up-and-coming string of top horses, such as eight year olds, Rivaal, Alaska, and VDL Douglas, a stallion by the famous stud Darco, and three five year old prospects. "I have a fantastic team of horses," Swail acknowledged. "Hopefully, the next three or four years will be successful for me. I'm looking forward to the next few years."
However the main horse in the yard is Poncho, who has jumped in four nations cups in the last 12 months. Poncho was flown to Florida to compete on the winter circuit. He was placed in two Grand Prixs and was the best finisher of the Irish team in the Nations Cup there.
